Proudly embracing my roots in Philadelphia, I stand as the first in my family to call this vibrant city home. With a blend of influences from my New York-born mother and Chicago-bred father, my story takes shape against the backdrop of Brewerytown's unique character.
My educational journey began at Beach Martin in Fairmount, and later, I found myself in the heart of Center City at Greenfield, navigating grades 1-8. High school unfolded in South Philly at Prep Charter High. Currently residing and working in Spring Garden, I remain dedicated to contributing to the diverse and evolving spirit of Philadelphia.
Holding a Bachelor's degree in business from Kutztown University, my professional journey has taken me through various roles. I've navigated the corporate landscape, selling software for prominent companies like IBM, Microsoft, SAP, and Sun Microsystems. Additionally, I served as the Director of Marketing, Sales, & Special Events at a Philadelphia-based adult recreational sports league company for a brief period. Each step in my career has contributed to a rich and diverse professional background.
Embarking on an unexpected journey into the realm of art, my creative odyssey began during a challenging period of unemployment. Faced with the prospect of being unable to afford Christmas gifts for my loved ones, I turned to an affordable wood burner as a modest solution. What initially started as a few simple pieces crafted with heartfelt intention soon burgeoned into the inception of a custom art business. The tactile nature of wood became my canvas, each piece bearing the imprint of a unique narrative born out of necessity and artistic expression.
As the pandemic reshaped the landscape of available resources, the quest for good and affordable wood became increasingly challenging. Recognizing the need for adaptability, I shifted my focus towards digital illustrations and graphic design. This evolution not only marked a strategic pivot but also unlocked a newfound passion. Each day now begins with a palpable sense of excitement, fueled by the prospect of creating vibrant and captivating works. Collaborating with others to breathe life into their creative visions has become a fulfilling endeavor, embodying the transformative power of artistic expression.
